Sharon Williams Spirit Award

In 1989, Coach Sharon Williams began teaching Physical Education to students in grades 9 through 12 at AMHS when it was located on the Burke High School campus. She then moved with AMHS when the school relocated to the Old Naval Base and again when it moved to the Bonds-Wilson campus. Coach Williams served as the AMHS Athletic Director from 1996–2003. She continued at AMHS as a PE Coach until December 2017 when she retired. In 2018, she returned as the AMHS Athletic Director until 2022. This award recognizes an AMHS student who demonstrates loyalty and dedication to AMHS Athletics. The recipient is selected by the AMHS Athletics Booster Club in celebration of Raptor school spirit and is awarded a $500 scholarship.
